Borneo - Picked this one up from Charles Alford in May 2009. According to Charles' 2009 Spring Offering letter, a Borneo was given to him by Don Callard who brought it back from the Phillippines and believes it is a hillii variant. He states that it is "quite strange".

Not quite sure about the temperature range, since I have had it just a short time but probably this staghorn fern can take temperatures from 40 to 90 degrees - it will be kept outside year long and prefers morning light or a dappled light all day with a mild breeze.

The mounting medium is AAA New Zealand Sphagnum Moss and then the fern is attached to redwood boards with 40lb monofilament fishing line, garden tape or other strapping material. When fertilizing - I use either Miracle-Gro or Superthrive every 3rd or 4th watering. As you can see this fern is mounted on a 12 x 12 board .

There currently none available for sale but if interested in a future pup please e-mail me at mailto:tomsstaghornferns@gmail.com.
